HALLOWEEN IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

A lot of people on the street up above us open their entire houses (or at least the foyers) to trick-or-treaters.  This is one of the parlors, where kids were given candy and the adults got cups of hot apple cider.

This lovely witch sat in front of her house all night and tried to frighten kids away from her candy.

It doesn't show up well enough to do it justice, but this neighbor had a giant spider web covering her entire front yard.  (The problem with trying to take Halloween photos is that this stuff only looks good in the dark!)

A portion of our yard:  pretty feeble by neighborhood standards, but we're aspiring to great and goolish things for next year.

The best Halloween decoration of all!
